The Cramlington and District Red Squirrel Group are currently carrying out conservation work in order to raise awareness to the threat to red squirrels in our area. They organised a competition asking pupils in Northumberland to produce a piece of artwork inspired by these lively creatures. At SSMS some of our pupils entered the competition and while no-one won any of the main prizes, the judges loved Laina’s entry and gave her a special certificate and book about squirrels in recognition of her work. Well done Laina!
