Pupils at SSMS watched a video about Earth Day and took part in Oracy activities in lessons yesterday to mark Earth Day 2021. Pupils were also invited to wear something green at school - we saw some fabulous green socks!  

Marking Earth Day in school also reinforces the importance of eco-activities such as the tree planting that took place at SSMS as few months ago; 30 trees were planted as part of work towards gaining a school Eco Award with the idea of creating a small woodland to encourage biodiversity into the school grounds.
