World Book Day was an exciting day at SSMS. Many pupils (and staff) got into the spirit of the day and dressed up as book characters. Congratulations to Olivia and Rosie in Year 5, Kaden and Alesha in Year 6, Lana and Kaden in Year 7 and Felix and Joseph in Year 8, for their winning costumes.

At breaktime, we had a very successful book swap, run by the English prefects.

Finally, in the afternoon we held a whole school Lit Quiz, with teams competing against each other to answer questions about books. A big well done to Charlie (Year 8), Grace (Year 7), Georgia (Year 6) and Riley (Year 5) for beating all of the competition to win the £10 book token prizes! A special mention for Charlie who answered the tie-break question that led to the win for his team.
