Continuing the Year 6 topic on Evolution...
The children were given the option to eat some colourful sweets or some liquorice. Most children didn't choose the liquorice as the other sweets looked more appetising. Those who did pick liquorice didn't pick it again as it didn't taste as sweet. This helped the children to understand that some species adapt so that they don't look or taste very nice. This allows them to avoid being eaten by predators.
