Well done to our Year 6 cyclists at Whytrig Middle School this week. They have cycled almost 100 miles this week with a final trip today setting off from school to Cambois Beach and back. They enjoyed a warm drink at Charlton’s Cafe next to the beach before setting off on their journey back to school this afternoon.
The Trip was organised by Mr Robinson in conjunction with Richard Rothwell from Cycling Generation. Mr Robinson has been extremely impressed with the enthusiasm of the children all week and in particular their behaviour which has been amazing.
Mr Rothwell said “I have worked with most of these children in their first schools, in fact, I remember teaching some of them to ride their first bike; I have been overwhelmed by their maturity, the development of their cycling skills and most of all the way in which they have followed instructions and communicated with each other”
