Our Year 9 students had an amazing and very creative time during our Extreme Weather Week Teaching Project last week.

We started the week with an assembly explaining the aims and objectives of the week and then went into classes to take part in a number of activities across the week.  In English the classes produced some amazing simile quilts relating to extreme weather; two students (Jimmy T and Charlie S) wrote a fantastic sonnet about our changing weather and in ICT the students researched how weather can affect visits to attractions and places of interest.

Geography lessons involved looking at different types of extreme weather and one class were fortunate enough to create some extreme weather proof buildings with spaghetti and marshmallows.

This was a fun and interesting week with a great deal of learning about our changing weather and climate.
