We were delighted to welcome Steven Brown from EMED Group yesterday. Steven is the North East Regional Trainer for EMED Group and is hosting a number of after school clubs over the coming weeks and months.
The first sessions are open to Year 8 pupils and will be offered to other year groups over the summer.
Last night students learnt about CPR, how to deal with a casualty who is unresponsive, basic treatment of a bleed, how to use a defibrillator (AED) and putting someone into the recovery position.
They packed a lot into the hour session and enjoyed some hands-on practical learning.
