
Our French word of the week has a double meaning. “La glace” can mean ice or ice cream.
This week the French speaking city of Québec, in Canada, opens its famous Hôtel de Glace. This hotel is built from scratch each year, using roughly 30,000 tons of snow and 500 tons of ice! It is kept at a constant temperature of between -3 and -5. Would you fancy staying in a hotel made of ice?
