Our Year 8 Travel Ambassadors did a phenomenal job today in the Council Chambers at County Hall, pitching their active travel project to a panel of local experts. Their mission is to encourage more pupils to cycle, scoot, or walk to school, and they presented their vision alongside several other schools from across the area. The team pitched with incredible confidence and expertise, earning high praise from all four judges for their presentation skills and the thoughtfulness of their proposal. The judges were particularly impressed that the students developed the entire bid independently of adult support.

The hard work paid off in a big way: while the initial goal was a £200 grant, the panel was so impressed they awarded the team £400 to bring their project to life! We are incredibly proud of their leadership and cannot wait to see the positive impact they make on our school community.
