Year 6 have been exploring the topic of School in their language lessons. After learning vocabulary for classroom items through a variety of games and activities, the children labelled and illustrated the contents of their pencil cases. They then moved on to learning school subjects and practised asking and answering questions about their favourite lessons.
More recently, pupils have been learning opinion phrases and using them to discuss different subjects. This week, they applied their learning in writing, sharing their opinions and, in some cases, drawing on previous learning to extend their sentences. It has been fantastic to see their confidence and language skills continue to grow.
