Last year we had the pleasure of visiting The Church of Our Lady to be part of the Ringing Through Time Project. Last week Year 6 visited the church again for the second part of this project and worked with Northumberland Wildlife Trust looking at the trees in the area. They created tree passports by calculating the age and species of the tree. They also found out all about lichen and managed to identify the different kinds growing on their tree.
Last year we couldn’t go inside the church due to the restoration work going on there but this time we were able to and it was lovely to hear the restored bell ringing to welcome us in. We were so impressed with the children on the trip as they were a credit to the school and their families.
