Our World Book Day theme at Seaton Sluice Middle School was ‘Share a Story’ and we really went for it all day long. Each lesson saw Mr Barnes appear on the board, Jackanory-style, to read chapters of Roald Dahl’s ‘Boy’ to the entire school. He has definitely missed his calling!
This was followed by staff and students partaking in activities to share their own favourite stories with each other, through means such as guessing staff’s baby photos and home bookshelves.
We were also delighted to see so many students dressed up for World Book Day. It was really hard to choose winners of our costume competition, and the judges argued bitterly over it, but 4 worthy winners were eventually declared.
