Having read and adored ‘Holes’ by Louis Sachar earlier this academic year, Year 7 were delighted to be given the chance to see the stage show of it at the Theatre Royal in Newcastle. We were all curious as to how they would manage to signify leaps backwards and forwards through time, and even more so as to how they’d manage to dig holes in a desert and climb a mountain on a stage. Not only did they manage all that and more, but they did it in really innovative ways.
As usual, the students were fabulously behaved throughout, and an utter joy to take.
