We would like to say a huge well done to WMS pupil, Izzy who entered the Discover Northumberland ‘Stories of Lockdown’ and whose submission, Photo of Wall Art, was one of 25 pieces selected out of over 150 entries. Her work will be permanently preserved in the Northumberland Archives and will form part of a collection of material that captures some of the experiences of people across the Country during the pandemic. Izzy said: "I started drawing with chalk on our house as a fun way to pass the time in the first lockdown. Then as our neighbours children asked me to draw other characters it grew from there. Lots of people would stop to comment on my drawings and it made me so happy to make people smile."

Izzy's work will also feature in an online gallery on the Discover Our Land website. You can see Photo of Wall Art and others at:
