We were delighted to welcome Marie from the Altitude Foundation back to Astley to run a Code Cooperative with year 10 students this week. She was joined by expert programmers Martha and Callum from Scott Logic. Students were given the opportunity to experiment with Python code on Micro:Bit computers and to create their own programmes.
Code Cooperatives are fortnightly sessions run by Altitude Foundation, supported by university students and professionals who work in tech. With hands-on coding, students will develop their programming skills and computational thinking, whether they are a beginner or a competent coder. Using the micro:bit, students will have the opportunity to create short programmes and gain valuable coding experience.
