Huge congratulations to all students from Whytrig Middle School and Astley High School who entered our Cook of the Year Competition. The eight finalists from both schools took to their workstations yesterday and produced the most amazing and delicious dishes as you can see from the pictures.
The competition was judged by Mr Dean Eccles, Head Chef at The Fat Ox in Holywell Village and supported by Mr Tony Cockburn, owner of Viking Safety in Whitley Bay who printed and donated the winners apron. Thank you both for your support to our schools and students.
Well done to our winner Melissa C from Year 7 at Whytrig Middle School and our runner up, Hithissa S from Year 9 at Astley High School.
